Bobby flay restaurant is great

Q:

Have been sitting at a machine that broke down for over a Mohegan Sun half hour waiting for a slot attendant. Have been told by various people that work here that someone should be coming. Do they really have slot attendants in the Wind Casino?

A:

They do have attendants but very few as they have cut Mohegan Sun back on staffing. I Mohegan Sun was there last Saturday and there were 2 attendants on for the whole casino (all sections – wind/sky/earth) – ridiculous considering how many machines are out of service.… more

if I could put zero stars I would. I am here with my mother and sister in the sky tower. They are doing construction right above our room and a little notice would be nice, apparently they are redoing the Mohegan Sun entire top floor so I would think twice before staying here. We called costumer device twice in which they seemed very annoyed. We spent 100 dollars on room service because most restaurants are booked and couldn’t enjoy it because of the deafening sound of the construction! If you get headaches easily or want  relaxing stay I would not ever recommend staying here! Awful experience.

We stayed at Mohegan Sun for a few days and we had a good time here.  The resort is well-maintained and easy to navigate.  We stayed in the Earth Tower suite and the room was spacious and clean.  Besides the casino, there are tons of other things to do.  There’s shopping, arcade for the kids, pools, comedy shows, concerts, and a million restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining.

It’s also just a short 25 minute drive to Mystic, a quaint New England town with a fantastic downtown, an aquarium, and a seaport.

First trip to Mohegan in 9 years, figured I would give a review.

The property was warm and inviting on a cold and rainy Independence Day weekend.  Mohegan has continued to improve and work hard at offering guests a personable and memorable experience.  There was so much we did not get to do that my friend and I have placed on our to do list for our return trip in the near future.

I previously reviewed the Bow and Arrow sports bar (five stars, check it out), but the rest of the experience was five stars all around.  from the players club desk staff, to the bartenders on the casino floor, to the incredibly hard working staff of the poker room including all of their dealers, managers, cage cashiers, servers, and poker hosts, the guest service here at Mohegan made this an experience I want to repeat again very soon.

I have reviewed several casinos and eateries within casinos in the past, and Tropicana and the CET properties can learn a thing or two from casinos like Mohegan and Turning Stone – this is the correct way to treat people..kudos!

The only gripe I could possibly make is that there wasn’t a single live-dealer table game less than $25 the entire weekend, and most all were $50 or more – maybe this was because of the holiday weekend, but even early Sunday morning there were no $15 blackjacks or $10 craps in any of the casinos at MS.  I would love to play these games but the table minimums price me out and thus I stuck with poker.

Nightlife was fantastic – go check out the Avalon nightclub, where the security and cashiers are professional and welcoming, Wombi rock had a great vibe and cool crowd, and Nouvelle cocktail  lounge looked like a fun time but no one was there!  We will try it again next time.

Still, I’m excited for another trip soon, and we will check out some of the nice restaurants and social offerings.

My fiancé and I went to Mohegan Sun with another couple for the first time a few days ago for a one night getaway. I booked with them directly over the phone and it was very easy and the service was great. Room price including taxes was $250 which I found to be a little pricey for a Monday night especially when their non gambling game rooms are not open on these days. Pretty large hotel/casino and the inside is very pretty. Room was specious and clean! You were required to wear masks inside the building and while on the casino floor (which everyone did)!We ordered room service which came up pretty quick and I LOVED their French onion soup! Their pizza was okayyy. Room service during covid ends at 11pm and they stop serving alcoholic beverages around 12am due to covid. Their Johnny rockets is open 24 hours just in case you get hungry during the night. Bar wise- I wasn’t a fan that you were unable to have a drink and a shot at the same time, between every drink they will not serve you for another 20 mins. I mean I get it but it was rather annoying. Their drinks on the casino floor were also pretty watered down and wound up giving me a headache as opposed to a buzz. Casino- also was not a fan that all the blackjack tables minimum was $25 , I feel like in AC you get more options for buy ins for a table. I also was not too crazy about their slot game selection- it was very repetitive throughout both sides of the casino. Overall experience at was okay, I wouldn’t mind returning but I’m also not in a rush to return either.

Went here for a weekend stay and it was a great experience. Between going to the pool on the 3rd floor, and eating and drinking at a lot of different places like Michael Jordan steakhouse and sports bar, Johnny Rockets, Chick fill A, etc. This was an amazing experience. Due to Covid-19, there are some restrictions in place like smoking indoors for example. But people didn’t have a problem as they went outside to oblige with the restrictions. Prices seem average compared to most casinos which is a good thing and nothing seemed too expensive. Great atmosphere and environment, definitely looking forward to coming back here.

Do not valet park unless you want to wait an hour for your car when you want to leave- completely ridiculous!!!! I seriously love this place but they need to get it together!

Spent 1 night here and I loved the entire experience. The hotel was so clean and had extra precautions for covid 19.

I can not stress this enough, every single staff member we met was beyond nice. One employee in particular was so sweet and helpful. Her name was Joyce and she Checked us in at the front desk on 12/4. She was just so helpful and friendly, I was blown away. My boyfriend and I walked away from the front desk and didn’t stop talking about how friendly she was until we got to our room.

The entire hotel is very beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. It was not hard to navigate either. So many restaurants and bars to choose from. I will be back once the new Tao nightclub opens there.

How have I never reviewed Mohegan in all the years I’ve been going there? It’s definitely my favorite casino hands down of any I’ve ever been to. It’s always very clean and I’ve never had any problems when doing anything here. I was recently here for my first COVID vaccine and everything is clearly labeled with where to go and everything is extremely well organized and efficient. I can’t wait to come back and play some penny slots one day hopefully soon!

Was here for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Ceremony and it is a huge place. Lots of restaurants, a casino and a hotel. Would love to see more of it if I am ever in the area again. As for the arena, it is really nice and big. Very safe, especially during these times.

I stayed in the Sky Tower this past weekend with my mother and daughter.   The hotel emailed me when my room was ready and I used the express check in kiosk to print out my room keys.  The room was a good size, clean and had a great view of the river.  My mother spent most of her time in the casino and enjoyed it very much during our 3 day stay.  The entire casino was clean and easy to walk around in without feeling overcrowded.   Check out was very easy and quick as well with the front desk.

I spent most of my time in the arcade with my daughter and walking around the resort.  The arcade was lackluster.  I know its a casino but I had high hopes the arcade would have been better than just a normal one from a neighborhood.   A few of the machines were broken and/or not distributing tickets.  The prizes were subpar too.  For a casino arcade to have cheap toys is beyond me .

I had time to gamble in the late evening and would like to give the security a shout out.  A gentleman was harassing me while sitting at the slots.  He was intoxicated and not taking no for an answer.  I calmly waved a security person and they had helped me with my situation.

The shopping mall was alright as well.  Nothing that was super exclusive but it was nice to look at everything.   The food at Johnny Rockets was decent and Jersey Mike’s needs better service.

The pool area for the Sky Hotel was the only one currently open and it was decent but not amazing.  The cabanas are over priced and your better off just sitting at one of the tables.
